Betty and I got tired of waiting for the right book to come out to help us easily tie up the lose ends on our own research, so in 1998 we formed Ridge Runner Publications and published our first book Jackson County, TN Marriage & Death Records. And it has been a very rewarding experience.  Not only have we met some really great people and been the recipients of kind words and glorious praise but we have kept our heads and continued to publish more and more.  Check out our titles by clicking on Index of Books link on the left side of this page.

With each book we publish you can count on the fact that one of these books will end up in the county from which it was taken. That's our way of making the material available for future generations.  We have been to Sumner, Smith, Jackson, Clay, Macon, Trousdale and of course, Monroe County, KY.

The standard for a Ridge Runner Book is to always have a full name index and additional genealogical notes. In order to make the book more affordable it will be softbound but we always add a generous inside margin to make hardbinding a possibility.

Also we will normally offer our books at a cheaper pre-publication price.  This price usually lasts for only a short time and usually during the printing and binding process.  We do this to move as many books as possible as quickly as possible so that we don't have to store them for very long.  We also publish in limited number so you might not want to waste time in ordering. Would publish more but we are limited on space, Hey, we work out of our homes.  And there are so many more books out there just waiting to be published.  I did mention that we are still working on our own genealogy.

Coming soon I will construct a site for myself and Betty so you can meet us but let me tell you this, in the a. m. hours we are bright and alert, that's the best time for us to discuss business and transcribe books, but in the afternoons our brains are muddled and we need a vacation.  Priorities first, we will work on books before we spend a lot of time telling you who we are.

If you have any suggestions or comments regarding Ridge Runners please feel free to e-mail us at:  RidgeRunnerGen@netscape.net

It is our hope that our books have helped you in your research.  Good Luck and Thank-you.
